Despite this, Station 19 ends with a feeling of closure for the main characters, leaving space for certain well-known characters to reappear in Grey's Anatomy. The firefighter saga still had the opportunity to end with a 10-episode goodbye that honored the characters and the trip they took, even though season 8's cancellation is disappointing to longtime followers.
