Fans of Station 19 check in weekly not only to witness the firefighting action, but also to live vicariously via our heroes' romantic adventures, as they did with its Seattle forerunner Grey's Anatomy. Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca, who even have the Seattle-appropriate couple name "Marina," are the most swoon-worthy couple. Maya and Carina's romance has been a bright spot on Station 19 in Season 4, despite a lot of difficult situations, with Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato bringing the red-hot chemistry on and off screen.
Marina chose to forego their separate quarantines and move in together early in Season 4, and man, do they make domestic life seem beautiful. However, since Carina saw Maya run into Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital holding a severed nose in the Grey's Anatomy Season 16 episode "A Diagnosis," fans have gone crazy over the couple. The couple's on-screen chemistry, combined with their beautiful real-life interactions on social media, may convert even the most adamant fans of Marina. Take a peek at some of Carina and Maya's most adorable moments:
When Their Pillow Talk Made It To The Final Cut!!
"Poor Wandering One" premiered in Season 3 with Maya and Carina in bed, with Carina encouraging the firefighter to speak her mind at work. "Basciami," Carina murmured in Italian to Maya in an impromptu moment. Maya's response, an exuberant "Is that 'Kiss me?'" was likewise spontaneous. I think it's great that the editors kept the improvised scene since it emphasizes the actresses' genuine chemistry.
That moment When Maya’s Mom Didn't Understand Who Carina Was!
Maya and Carina were making out in Maya's office when they were interrupted by Maya's mother, Katherine, who didn't understand who Carina was in the Season 3 episode "The Ghosts That Haunt Me." Katherine, for some reason, missed all of the social clues and questioned whether Carina was "one of Maya's fire women," before presuming she was Maya's doctor. Carina stated emphatically that she was neither of these things, and as she went out the door, she threw Maya the most amusing "WTF" look behind Katherine's back.
The first time they said love you to each other !!
Marina admirers probably don't like to remember Maya's affair with Jack and how she used it to push Carina away (we surely don't). However, when Maya realized her folly and crawled back to Carina, we received the couple's first lovely "I love you"s. Perhaps even more touching than the sequence itself was watching actresses Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato choose it as their favorite moment from Season 3, which you can see in the video below.
Maya's Hair was Stroke by Carina!
In the Season 4 episode "Save Yourself," Maya and Carina were on fire, sending Marina admirers in fits with their longing stares, skipping, and chin stroking. Carina fiddling with Maya's hair while they listened to Jack tell a story, however, was the one who truly did the fandom in. The hair brushing was an unscripted move that showed the actresses' connection, and Maya's ecstatic smile was everything.
When They Post Candid Station 19 Promos!
If their previews for forthcoming Station 19 episodes are any clue, Stefania Spampinato and Danielle Savre love being near each other. You can't help but laugh along with them, whether they're making fun of Savre's dance moves or fumbling over their words (as shown below).
Maya's Support for Carina's Grief!!
Carina's anguish after the murder of her brother Andrew DeLuca is evident in Season 4's "Learning to Fly," and Maya's helplessness to help is just as terrible. Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato's performances were so raw throughout the episode, but nothing hit home quite like when Maya led Carina into the fire station's barn and flipped on the fire engine's sirens, allowing Carina to scream out the frustration, emotion, and guilt that were weighing her down. When Carina still couldn't scream, Maya did, and Carina was finally able to let out a scream of her own.
Maya's Victory in the Push-Up Challenge Left Everyone Speechless!!
In Season 3's "No Days Off," terrible forces tried to push their way into Marina's escape, including a five-alarm fire at home and Todd. Maya challenged Todd to a push-up contest after Todd and his friends tried lamely to hit on them in the pool. Maya won (easily), and Maya and Carina dropped all of our jaws with a scorching kiss as Todd completed his part of the bet – buy them drinks and leave them alone.
When Danielle Savre was jealous by Carina's ex-boyfriend!!After hearing of Andrew DeLuca's death, Carina's ex Gabriella showed up at Marina's door (pushing right by Maya — unpleasant) in Season 4's "Make No Mistake, He's Mine." As Gabriella flaunted her and Carina's former sexual relationship, Maya shown extraordinary emotional maturity, knowing that Carina needed all the help she could receive. But that didn't stop Danielle Savre from expressing her dissatisfaction with her character's treatment. Savre posted a warning that basically advised Gabriella to take a step back, along with a photo of Maya flashing daggers at the former flames.
On and off screen, Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato have undeniable chemistry, which naturally leads to fans asking if the on-screen romance continues once the cameras stop rolling. Savre even stunned Spampinato by revealing that she was studying Italian! When asked directly, the actresses didn't appear willing to spoil the fun, with Savre responding, "That's one secret we'll never share," mimicking Gossip Girl. The cherry on top of Spampinato's retweet was a noncommittal emoji.
That moment When They Got Engaged!!!
Marina battled with Carina's visa expiring in many episodes during Season 4 of Station 19. Maya first agreed to accompany her back to Italy, but they later decided they were both strong enough to make the journey. Maya started talking about getting married so she could stay in "Comfortably Numb," and Carina said she was against it. Gabriella, Carina's "ex-sex-friend," was the one who pointed her back to Maya. Carina was the one who had to crawl back to Maya this time. Take a look at the video below to see what I'm talking about.
I'm looking forward to many more electric moments between our queens now that they're getting married, as well as at least a couple of exciting chats about having children. Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET, ABC broadcasts Station 19. Check out our list of upcoming TV season finales and our summer TV schedule for 2021 to make sure you don't miss any of your favorite series.
Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) and Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) are happily married and planning to conceive a family in Season 5 of ABC's Station 19. In an amazing job interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, on the other hand, Savre intimated that it's not that simple. The performer from Wild About Harry hinted at some impending problems for her Station 19 character, Maya Bishop.
'Station 19' Maya Bishop realized and decided that she wanted to have a baby and start a family.
Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca finally tied the wedding at the Station 19 Period 4 finale. The wedding night, however, was marred by a text that the entire staff received. Bishop was ousted as the head of Station 19 by the Battalion chief when she disobeyed his directives. She transferred a young kid in a different car or truck instead of waiting 8 minutes for an Assist vehicle to arrive. She saved the child's life despite the fact that it was against the policy.
Maya had a change of heart about having tiny children following spending the day with Dean Miller's daughter, Pruitt Arike Miller. She told Carina in the Thanksgiving-themed episode "Little Female Blue" that she would love to have a toddler. The pair then discussed the logistics of starting a family in Station 19 Season 5 Episode 7. Carina was to have the child and add the egg, Maya urged. The couple spent an intimate working day together, daydreaming about their future children.
Maya and Carina announced to the station during the Station 19 Winter Finale on December 16 that they were planning to have a child together. Everything about this time has been intense and joyous for the couple. Having said that, Savre foreshadowed potential potholes in the road ahead in an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
