Here's Why the Series' Creator Picked the Number 19 for Station 19' !

Station 19 had the finest stats of the whole department in Seattle, according to Jack Gibson (Grey Damon), when Season 1 premiered in 2018. Fans, on the other hand, were left wondering if it was a real fire station in Washington and why they chose that particular number.

1. 'Station 19’ Season one origin !

On March 1, 2018, a backdoor pilot for the Grey's Anatomy firefighter spinoff aired. During Grey's Anatomy, fans met Andy Herrera, the principal character from Station 19. (Jaina Lee Ortiz). The episode also created the basis for Ben Warren (Jason George) to make the transition from his previous life as a doctor to his new life as a firefighter.

Station 19 Season 1 premiered on March 22, 2018, and ran for ten episodes. Following Private Practice, it was Grey's Anatomy's second spinoff. The series was created by Stacy McKee, who also served as showrunner for the first two seasons. Seasons 3 and 4 were taken over by Krista Vernoff.

2. Is it true that 'Station 19' is a real fire station?

Because of the firefighters' descriptions of Station19, many viewers assumed it was a genuine location in Seattle, Washington. The outside photographs of the station, on the other hand, are from Seattle's real Station 20. The set was similarly inspired by the real-life station, albeit without the pole. For added entertainment value, the producers inserted that extra prop.

One of the reasons the creator chose the number 19 for the show was because it is not a genuine fire station in Seattle. Stacy McKee, the creator, did not want to use a real fire station in the area. She instead went through the numbers that were left over after she removed the real station numbers.

The Seattle Fire Department has a number of stations, ranging from Medic 1 to Station 41, according to the department. The numbers four(4) , seven (7) , twelve (12) , fifteen (15) , nineteen (19) , and twenty-three (23)  were among the possible alternatives that did not exist in Seattle. McKee could have chosen anything above 41 as well.

Grey's Anatomy creator Stacy McKee began producing, scripting, and editing the show from the beginning. She did, however, leave in 2017 to start a new spinoff series.  McKee, according to Grey's Anatomy fans, McKee tweeted that she  likes very much the number 19. So, the title was born.

ABC has announced that "Station 19" will return for a sixth season ahead of its presentations at the Television Critics Association's virtual press tour on Tuesday.

Just one day after its Ellen Pompeo-led parent show was picked up for Season 19, the "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff series was revived for Season 6. The showrunner of "Station 19," Krista Vernoff, will return for the upcoming season of the broadcast drama.

"Station 19" may be a documentary that follows a crew of brave Seattle firemen as they risk their lives and hearts to save lots of others. The series, which is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, takes us inside the gritty, close-knit, and sometimes sad world of the city's bravest first responders.

Andy Herrera is played by Jaina Lee Ortiz, Ben Warren is played by Jason George, Robert Sullivan is played by Boris Kodjoe, Jack Gibson is played by Grey Damon, Victoria Hughes is played by Barrett Doss, Travis Montgomery is played by Jay Hayden, Maya Bishop is played by Danielle Savre, Carina DeLuca is played by Stefania Spampinato, and Theo Ruiz is played by Carlos Miranda.

Vernoff is “Station 19” showrunner and executive produces alongside Rhimes and Betsy Beers. The Stacy McKee-created drama is produced by ABC Signature, a neighborhood of Disney Television Studios.

According to ABC, the current fifth season of "Station 19" is averaging a 2.17 rating among adults in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic after 35 days of delayed viewing, up +234 percent from the show's original Live+Same Day Nielsen rating.

"It's an honor to showcase the stories of our brave first responders, who put their lives on the road a day on our show and in real world to stay us all safe," Vernoff said. "I'm extremely appreciative to Disney and ABC for picking up 'Station 19' early for season six."             'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Station 19' Will Owen Survive the Crossover?

When the two programs return with a winter premiere crossover event on February 24, it appears that some drama is about to hit the Seattle Fire Department — but first, the first responders of Station 19 have a Grey's Anatomy doctor to rescue.

It all starts on Station 19, when we meet Ross (Merle Dandridge), Seattle's first female fire chief, who has a history with Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe). Are they ex-girlfriends or ex-boyfriends? We do know that it's been 15 years since they've last seen each other. Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) is envious. And now we know why Sullivan makes lieutenant again quick - the new fire chief was an old female .

However, given that Grey's Anatomy left Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) in a car sliding over a ridge in its winter finale in December, the majority of that will most likely have to wait until after the crossover. Dr. Cormac Hayes (Richard Flood), who Owen had forced to leave, could only stand there and watch as Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) tried to get a donor heart to the hospital – for Owen's sister's son, Dr. Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer).

Ben Warren (Jason George) arrives on the scene determined to save lots of his friend, but Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) advises, "Take some time ." We'll have more injuries if we slip just a touch ." Is it Owen or the driving force who has no pulse once they pull him up?

Hayes informs Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) of the accident at the hospital, while Teddy recalls, "He got me out first, and I heard the car collapse." What would Hayes say to Teddy when she asks, "What happened in that car?" "What are you withholding from me?"

Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) and Dr. Atticus "Link" Lincoln (Chris Carmack) will also have some trouble after he saw her kissing Dr. Kai Bartley (E.R. Fightmaster). Link tells her, "You simply moved on." "Because you caught a glimpse of me kissing someone else?" Amelia asks.

I think that really depends on how much continued success it has, how long Grey's Anatomy keeps running, and whether or not they plan on continuing after Grey's ends.

Station 19 could end before or after Grey's (although they've made before harder with marina's marriage). If they throw in another crossover couple I'll be inclined to lean towards after, because it'll be a way to keep GSM alive if, say, Jack and Jo start dating too.

It really depends on behind the scenes decisions, though. I have no real clue. It could turn into the next Grey's, and thirteen years from now we're watching Maya get sassed by her pre-teen .

Unless the ratings take a major hit, then I think this will go on a few more seasons. With Grey's coming to an end soon (either next season or the following), they'll probably use this show to keep the Grey's universe going (and add another spinoff). If they cancel this show along when Grey's ends, that's the end of Shondaland on ABC and considering they are their top rated shows, it would be crazy to let that go.

Unlike the other Shondaland shows (Grey's, PP, Scandal, HTGAWM), this show doesn't have a character that they absolutely need to keep the show going. Andy may technically be the lead, but if she left, the show would be just fine and it can focus on the station and the other characters. They proved that by moving Andy to 23 and Station 19 is just fine without her there. Any of the characters can leave and the show can keep going (whether that will affect quality is another topic).

Considering ABC is holding on to Grey's for dear life, they'll probably keep S19 to 10 seasons. Or until they get another hit show or two.

Grey's Anatomy' Is One Of The Best Shows On TV For 4 Reasons .

We've followed the lives of the wonderful doctors at Seattle Grace, now Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, for 12 seasons. We've been there for you through death, love, heartbreak, and joy.

We lamented the deaths and rejoiced in the happy memories. We observed as the naive interns blossomed into visionary attending surgeons. We guffawed as they guffawed and sobbed as they cried.

The People's Choice Awards announced "Grey's Anatomy" as the winner of "Favorite TV Show" on Wednesday, January 6. Let's take a look at some of the main reasons why "Grey's Anatomy" is the best show on television and so deserving of this honor.

     Patrick Dempsey is a man's king.

It was the death that devastated the hearts of a million people. With petitions circulating pleading for our beloved McDreamy to return from the grave, it was clear that Patrick Dempsey was adored by fans all over the world.

There has never been a man as perfect as Derek Shepherd in the history of television. In every sense of the term, he was a gentleman. He was the best neurosurgeon in the world, a father, a husband, and unquestionably the most gorgeous man on the planet.

Patrick Dempsey played a character that captivated the hearts of all the women, and he brought Derek's wonderful looks with him. Thank you for the many years, Patrick Dempsey, you will be sorely missed.

  Actress Ellen Pompeo is a gift to the world.  

Dr. Meredith Grey has experienced more drama and witnessed more sorrow than anybody else. Her father abandoned her, her mother scolded her excessively, she had multiple near-death experiences, and many of her friends and family members died.

Ellen Pompeo, the actress who plays this gorgeous, wounded soul, has dependably been as as amazing as her character. Pompeo continues to wow us week after week, transforming herself into our favorite surgeon.

She inspires us to be as brave as Meredith and makes us feel all of Meredith's emotions. We adore Meredith Grey because of her.

Christina Yang, as much as I adored McDreamy, was the television loss that broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Christina's relocation was difficult to move on from, even though she is still alive, and no matter how many sisters they try to bring in and pair up with Meredith, she will always be the other twisted sister.

Meredith's soulmate, she was the other half of her. Christina introduced a kind of humour to "Grey's Anatomy" that no other character could match, as well as a passion for surgery. You could tell she aspired to be the greatest and get to the top.Sandra created a character who will be remembered and missed for a long time.

It has taken fans on a once-in-a-lifetime inspirational and emotional journey.

It's difficult to keep a show on the air for 12 seasons, let alone keep the viewers as invested in the characters and the show as they were in the first, but "Grey's Anatomy" has succeeded. Hundreds of millions of fans tune in every Thursday to see their favorite surgeons.

Many people have been encouraged to pursue careers in medicine as a result of "Grey's Anatomy." It's prompted discussions among friends, family, and coworkers. It has explored themes and medical issues that would not otherwise be known or discussed. It has a devoted following that supports and adores the show and its characters.

"Grey's Anatomy" deserved to win the People's Choice Award more than any other show. It is successful in every aspect of television. It features well-rounded characters, innovative and engaging storylines, incredible actors and actresses, fantastic music, and excellent direction.

The show teaches us all valuable things and elicits emotions in a way that no other show can. My wish is for "Grey's Anatomy" to continue indefinitely. I never want to see the day when it all comes to an end and all of my favorite characters are no longer on my television.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of "Grey's Anatomy," both past and present. This was well-deserved recognition.
